Herminie new president

The presidential elections (and National Assembly elections) held in the Seychelles from September 25 to 27 did not produce a clear result for the office of president. A second round of voting took place from October 9 to 11, 2025. The choice was between the incumbent president, Wavel Ramkalawan (LDS), and his opponent, Herminie (US).

This time, the result was clear:

Patrick HERMINIE is the new (6th) president of the Seychelles.

The inauguration took place on Sunday, October 26, 2025, in Stad Linite, Roche Caiman.
