Import Regulations for E-Cigarettes

Electronic cigarettes are classified as restricted goods in the Seychelles; therefore, a valid import permit is required for their importation in accordance with Section 87 of the Customs Administration Regulations (Prohibited and Restricted Goods) of 2023.

As outlined in the 2023 Regulations on Prohibited and Restricted Goods, e-cigarettes falling under “Harmonized System Code 8543.4000” also include personal vaporizers, e-liquids, and cartridges.

Therefore, an import permit is required for all of the above items to be imported into the Seychelles.

It is very important to present a valid import permit upon arrival in the Seychelles if you are carrying electronic cigarettes, personal vaporizers, e-liquids, and cartridges with you on your trip.
